FAQ
WEDDING DJ QUESTIONS
What kind of music do you play at weddings?
Ajani is an open-format DJ, so your night can move from Hip-Hop and R&B to Afrobeats, Pop and timeless classics. He reads the room in real time to keep every generation on the dance floor, and your must-play and do-not-play lists shape the set.
Where in the Bay Area do you DJ weddings?
Ajani is based in Oakland and DJs weddings in Oakland, San Francisco and across the greater Bay Area.
Do you offer ceremony sound or MC services?
Ask about ceremony sound and MC services when you inquire. Ajani has worked as a professional audio engineer and AV tech since 2016, and you can talk through what your day needs on the planning call.
How much does a wedding DJ cost?
Every wedding is different, so Ajani shares a quote once he knows your date, venue and timeline. Send an inquiry or call (415) 742-2434 to get started.
What affects the price of a Bay Area wedding DJ?
Every quote is custom and comes down to five things: hours of coverage (most weddings book 4 to 6 hours); ceremony and cocktail hour sound, if you need it; extra speakers, microphones or lighting; your date and season; and your venue location. Check your date for a custom quote.
How many hours of DJ coverage do most weddings need?
Most weddings book 4 to 6 hours. A reception-only night sits at the shorter end, and adding ceremony and cocktail hour music moves it toward 6. Ajani will help you match hours to your timeline on the planning call.
Do you charge travel?
Only for venues more than 80 miles from Oakland. There is no travel fee within 80 miles, which includes San Francisco and most of the Bay Area. For venues farther out, the travel fee is listed in your custom quote.
How do I check if my date is available?
Fill out the booking inquiry form, email ajanionthetrack@gmail.com, or call (415) 742-2434. Ajani’s team will reach out within 48 hours.
